"Southern People Weekly" Report On Young People (2004-2013)

In social transformation in China in the 21st century,the youth always play an important and unique social role.<Southern People Magazine> is the most influential people magazine in China. It always in line with "Record our Fate" of the principle and the general concept of "Equality Tolerance Humane" and pay close attention to the youth report. I have used content analysis and mathematical statistics, and divided the reports of eight categories.They are"entertainers","athletes", "literary and art circles", "students","intellectual","business elite", "official" and "social other youth groups" character types,etc . It also has an influential selecting activity called "Chinese youth-leader"every year. I have quantized the list, and discuss them from physiological characteristic, professional image and deeds deeply.They using different report strategies, such as "agenda-setting" , discovering some important problems and different kinds of reports. It contains three aspects,"play social responsibility" "establish the awareness of self" and "hold independent selfhood". And it also has some distinctiveaspects,such as "reflecting on the secular""caring the edge group" and "reading deviant behavior". It provides a very valuable experience for China's mass media culture construction and the development of media.At the same time, new media has been growing fast. As a print media, Southern People Magazine faces some challenges and difficulties. In respect of youth report,it can turn challenges into opportunities, strengthen the youth reports and youth's spiritual connection to increase energy.
