Wireless Body Area Network is a Wireless Sensor Network which is formed by the sensor nodes attached to the body or implanted in the body in an ad-hoc way.It provides support for medical analysis and diagnosis through the consistent monitoring of the body's physiological parameters.However it is not just for healthcare,it also has great value in many fields such as special population group monitoring,sports,entertainment,military and so on.However,WBAN technology is facing many challenges because of its own characteristics.Human wearable and implantable sensors must be light and small,so they are severely limited in processing capacity,storage capacity and power supply capacity.Body movement and the blockage by body segments will cause the dynamic change of WBAN topology,and it will seriously affect the reliable data transmission of WBAN.Therefore the energy-efficient and reliable data transmission of WBAN has become an urgent issue.According to the characteristics of wireless body area network,this paper mainly researched and designed the routing mechanism of WBAN from the two aspects of energy efficiency and reliability:For the resource constrained characteristic of WBAN,an energy-efficient routing protocol is proposed based on multipath routing mechanism and Max-Min model.In the routing process,the protocol makes the residual energy of the node with least residual energy as large as possible,thus balancing the energy consumption of nodes in the network,and prolonging the network lifetime.The routing protocol is simulated and compared with the routing protocols based on Min model through MATLAB.It turns out that the routing protocol based on Max-Min model can better balance the energy consumption of nodes and prolong the lifetime of network.According to the characteristics of dynamic change of WBAN topology,a probability routing protocol based on slotted sliding window is proposed.The protocol puts slotted sliding window in recording the historical encounter information among nodes to save the long term encounter information,thus improving the prediction accuracy of the encounter probability between nodes,further improving the packet delivery reliability and reducing the network delay.The protocol is simulated on VS2012,and the result reflects that the adding of slotted sliding window in probability routing can really improve network reliability.
