Wireless body area network composed of small, smart devices, these devices can be worn on the body or implanted in the body, and has the ability to set up a wireless communication link. These devices can provide continuous health monitoring, and real-time feedback to the user, or medical personnel. In addition, the measurement results can be recorded long down, thereby improving the quality of the measurement data. Key technologies of wireless body area network include: routing protocols and sensor technology. In order to develop a wireless body area network standard, IEEE802has set up a working group known as IEEE802.15.6. The purpose of the group is to establish a communication standard optimized low power consumption of the body/body surface node to meet a variety of medical and non-medical applications. Currently, the IEEE802.15.6standard defines three PHY layers, i.e. the narrowband (NB), ultra-wideband (UWB), and the human body communication (HBC) layer. Each PHY choice depends on the application requirements. On top of it, the standard defines a MAC protocol to control access to the channel. For the time reference of resource allocation, the concentrator (or tuner) to the time axis (or channel) is divided into a series of super-frame. The isometric beacon cycle make the super-frame be restricted. The sensor nodes are equipped with one or more sensors measuring the physical or chemical properties of the human body, and are converted into an electrical signal. In most cases, the recorded signal will be locally pretreated for noise controlling, the feature extraction and data compression, which aimed at reducing the amount of the data to be transmitted, to reduce the energy consumption. Finally, based on the preliminary design of a sensor node, the node is used to collect ECG sensor node. The node comprises a sensor module, the power supply module, as well as data processing and radio transmission module. ECG sensor module is mainly responsible for the collection to do simple processing; power supply module is responsible for providing energy for ECG acquisition nodes; ECG data processing and wireless transmission module is mainly responsible for the acquisition of the ECG acquisition module processing the signal sent out. Sensor module includes a preamplifier circuit, a low-pass filter circuit, the high-pass filter circuit to limit wave circuit and amplifier circuit. The simulation proved that the circuit meets the prior demand of designing. The circuit is valuable to medical apply to some degree. What’s more, the design idea and concrete realization is beneficial to the further study about larger scale medical health care system.
