Design And Implementation Of Office Automation System Based On Workflow

With the rapid development of computer technology and network technology, great changes of enterprise office have also taken place. From the past complex, inefficient manual approach of enterprise office to large-scale use of copiers and other office equipment to the current using Internet and computer technology to realize office automation, which the significant development greatly improve the efficiency of enterprise office. The new term "Office Automation (OA)" appears in people's field of vision, and office automation system which becomes the important tool of enterprise management also arises at this historic moment. But the commonality of the most existing office automation systems is not ideal. And it still needs a lot of manpower to handle the task flow. In order to solve this problem, from the actual demand of enterprise office, this paper designs and develops a universal office automation system with integrating the characteristics of all kinds of enterprise, using workflow technology and defining the metadata.First of all, we study the theory of office automation systems and introduce the related technologies used in the system development. The system uses the MVC model to build the overall framework, the WCF to realize communication, the ASP.NET and AJAX to realize Web page, the SQL Server to store data, the ADO.NET to make data connection and operation, and finally uses Workflow to complete process management.Then we design and implement this office automation system. According to the system requirements analysis, we complete the design of the overall framework and divide the system into three basic function modules that system management, approval management and report management. And we design common process for each module and implement the functions. In addition, we also do a lot of work in system safety with using user classification of rights management and coming up with comprehensive system security policy.The significance of this work is that the users can use metadata to define the approval events according to their requirements and finish the work automatically by workflow after approval qualified. The system has good commonality that almost covering all of the enterprise daily office work and saving a large amount of manpower. System testing results also show that the system can be used normally, the interfaces are friendly and all of results meet expectations.
