This thesis discusses design and implementation of Baolijie Company's material logistic management system. This system's target is to provide on-time and accurate support for the company's manufacturing material purchasing and supplying management decision, to efficiently reduce responding time to material requirement, to reduce demand anticipation's deviation, and to improve data accuracy and quality of the company's supply chain overall running.This thesis analyzes and discusses the system development based on software engineering concept and methods. In demand analysis, it discusses basic information management function, purchasing and supplying business management function, and business statistics and analysis. It also establishes main sub-functions'user cases. As for software design, it discusses the software structure design, database design and main modules' transaction processing flow design. It also gives software structure scenarios and database outlined design and detailed design. With the foundation of design scenarios, it also discusses main function modules' programming complementation and testing. This system realizes static basic information management and dynamic performance information assessment function. On purchasing transaction processing level, the system supports generating purchasing information according to calculation of main manufacturing plan, manufacturing material demand plan and re-order plan. On business analysis function level, the system's business analysis function can provide analytic information to business directors and senior decision-makers for their supply chain management decision and purchasing cost decision.The software uses multiple structures, applies Java programming to realize apply server programs, and uses Oracle 10 server as its database platform. Through reasonable design, implementation and running, the system achieves many supply management function advantages, including efficiently reducing responding time to material demand, reducing demand anticipation's deviation, efficiently cutting down business cost and improving inventory and fund rotation rate at the same time. It has positive supporting effect to improve the company's business running efficiency.
