In the supply chain management background, inventory management play an veryimportant role in optimizing the whole supply chain. Supplier managing the users’inventory (VMI) is a new kind of management method and tactic for supply chain,which can fully reflect the thought of integrated supply chain management. It alsoimproves the operation efficiency and competitive power of supply chain system.For the issues of retail inventory group, this paper, from the perspective of supplychain management, research the supplier and retailor. The designed system, on the basisof business process and inventory model, designs the modules and functions of theinventory management system. Providing the flow chart of main function modules,builds the VMI inventory management system based on JSP by Java program realizingthe inventory module and displaying the vendor managed inventory system in a Webform. Through the established VMI inventory management system to realize theestablished VMI inventory model. Combining with the relative software technology andthe MVC design pattern, make the system conforms to the user friendly, retractable andvisible requests, and fully discussed the design’s train of thought. This paper mainlyintroduces the application’s actual development. Achieving data consistently andsecurity, and complete the function of the application program, which conform to therequirement of VMI inventory management system which act as a typical one.The inventory management system, which is set up in the JSP environment, canaccomplish goods taking outside and putting inside in the inventory managementsystem by compiling numerical calculation program for solving decision value andsupplier managing inventory business process. Using the inventory analysis module, thesupplier can analyze the key indicators of supplier inventory management andadjust inventory decision data in time. Utilizing the idea of vendor managed inventory(VMI) make the inventory management come true. And using the idea of functionalmodular programming designs and realizes the function.
