With the promotion of the Golden Card Project and rapid development of microelectroniecs and computer technology, the application of the smart card is becoming more and more widely. The directions of PBOC on the comprehensive altenation from magnetic stripe card to smart card opens up a broader market for smart card, especially the application of the dual interface card.The main work of this thesis is research of chip operating system of dual interface smart card. Based on the study of smart card operating systems background and key technology, according to the characteristics of dual interface smart cards, and design and implement the four modules: the communication managemen, the security management, the file managemen and the order management. The mostly smart card only implements single interface communication, while this thesis research double interface communication of a dual interface smart card. This function based on design of an internal control register has been implement. In the design of contactless communication, based on the characteristics of transmission, the analysis and processing function of block data communication has been implement used modular design. During the design of the security system, achieved safety state by the bit operation in safty state word and guaranteed the shifting of safety state. The thesis has achieved the identification, the verification and other safety mechanisms. Demand for multi-application smart card, the file system used a hierarchical design method, by setting the security key documents and related security mechanisms to achieve the independence between different applications. File management module has implemented a file system space allocation, store forms as well as basic operations.In addition, according to the characteristics of the file system and the safety control module, the command interpreter module has completed the basic commands analysis of smart card, such as creating file, get challenge, update binary, etc.Based on the embedded software development ideology, this thesis using embedded C language and ADS debug and develop the transport management, file management, security control and command interpreter module of the PCOS. The code was been downloaded to the compiled FPGA simulation platform and then tested in the cross-development environment. These tests ensure the operating system to complete the desired function and stay in line with the relevant standards. The results showed that the design scheme in this thesis is correct and feasible. The design in this thesis has certain guiding significance on the research of dual interface smart card.
