Based On SNMP Protocol To Develop A Distributed Network Management System

With the rapid development of computer network technology, the scale of computer network become larger and larger, network configuration has been increasing, and the network structure is also more and more complex. In that case, continuing to use the centralized network management system for network management in terms of technology and management ability is not well suited. Now, it was already very necessary to design and research a new network system.This paper has conducted in-depth analysis on working principle of SNMP protocol and the realization of the function. Through the methods of work of SNMP and how to use it, we achieve a mechanism for distributed network management architecture and related message forward mechanism. And then, under the above distributed architecture, we obtain the configuration management and north module. In the network management system, using Java for the future system develops and designs, and using VC++ and Oracle for background system program, which can achieve the properties that network management system can be used in various platform, for example windows, SQL, Solaris+oracle and so on. Practical application result indicates that this paper can meet most of the requirements of the distributed network management architecture framework of network, which proves that the network management system has a very good operability and reliability.
