Design And Implementation Of Distributed Network Management System Based On SNMP

With the development of Network, the Network characterized by a growing size, more and more heterogeneous and complex structure, which demands higher requirement for network management. The traditional centralized network management system cannot meet the needs of the rapid development of the network, so distributed network management system has became hot in research.This thesis focuses on distributed network management technology based on SNMP protocol. Analyzing the working principle and functional requirements of SNMP protocol, the distributed network management architecture and related messages forwarding mechanism is presented. The configuration management module and XML-SOAP northbound interface module with this distributed architecture are both achieved in thesis. GUI client is developed by JAVA in network management system, while Server is developed by VC++ and Oracle database. This network management system with cross-platform features can run in Windows + SQL Server, or Solaris + Oracle environments. Both modules have been put into use. It is showed by the running that this distributed network management can meet requirements for a large-scale and complex network of distributed network management architecture, complexity of requirements; it has good interoperability and reliability. The network management system built on this framework has good interoperability and reliability.
