The Media Guide Of Opinion Propagation In Environmental Groud Events

The environmental group events for the purpose of environment demand gradually become typical public emergencies,and during the struggle,the expression and exchange of the local people's opinions become an important role of evolution.Meanwhile,The evolution of group opinion need to go through a complex process and the evolutionary mechanisms make risks and conflicts of events upgrade,and the absence of traditional media and new media functional features make opinion propagation turn to be extreme.Besides, In the whole process of “Maoming PX incident”,the local people was so disappointed to the local traditional media for their reports that they doubted the credibility of traditional media for the huge gap between their expectation and reality.Moreover,the new media used to appealing are still suspected by them.Therefore,the ambivalence is not only complicated emotion response,but also shows that media management in environmental group events need to combine traditional media with new media.This paper concentrates on “Maoming PX incident” as a typical sample of environmental group events under social transition and mediated society,it tries to explore the linkage and risk behind events on the main line of opinion propagation.Based on the empirical investigation into“Maoming PX incident” and data collected and processed from SPSS statistical software,the study found that there is a certain relevance between media with the mechanism of action and contradictory expression of public opinion.Besides,compared "actuality" and "obligations" of media,it found that the opinion propagation is risky because it's a mass mood with emotion and directivity which mixed with different interests.On the one hand,with the deepening of mediated society and social transformation,the traditional media is not only facing restraint system itself,but also meet the opportunity to create entrusted by the era,especially that credibility and authority of traditional media subjected to tests and challenges again and again in n all kinds of public events.Since China entered the risk society, various risky factors gradually highlights, and various opinions mixed together,but some just stay in the language,and some may present by more extreme manner for the result of alienation and polarization of opinions.As platform of public opinion, the way to handle and breakthrough has become the top priority in the current development of traditional media.On the other hand, the phenomenon that new media used to rights protection as a tool has been more and more prominent, but the opinion expression in new media has a certain degree of risk,so it has also brought reflection on the the whole development of new media.Therefore it's particularly important that give play to integration feature of media in opinion propagation of environmental group events to alleviate the risks posed by opinion propagation.
