Media Representations Of Anti-Japanese War In The People's Daily Since New Century

The mass media is one of the most significant places of cultural representation,different perspectives of media reproduction will affect the audience's vision.The news media as an important branch of the mass media,is responsible for cultural heritage features.Its reproduction about history is an important foundation for people to obtain historical awareness and historical memory.Now information transmission is very open,timely,media history presentation and historical memory of people generate new changes,So now we should reflect on the role of the media in the history of reproduction and memory formation.This paper focuses on the core issue of "how the media reproduce the history of the media,how the media affect the public memory".Research methods are text analysis and content analysis.This paper research on the mainstream media of the People's Daily's Anti-Japanese War reproduction condition,since the new century.This paper consists of three part:the "People's Daily"' s media texts of Anti-Japanese report,the historical content of the presentation,Strategies of Memory Construction.And there are two different levels,first,through the fact that victory in the war gather consensus on national history,a common destiny stimulate self-confidence and pride.Second,through the suffering history in the war,we reflect on the tragedy of war and efforts to achieve national rejuvenation.The study found that the Anti-Japanese media reproduction affected by many factors,resulting in the text have primary and secondary differentiation.In the the People's Daily's reproduction,the Communist Party is the leader of the war,other groups are anti-Japanese collaborators;in the event reproducing resist events and traumatic events exhibit is unbalanced.This study concluded that in the 21st century,the media reproducing still influenced by politics.By the war's "selective and different reproduction," public access "selective memory",official media diversity makes memories replaced by official memory.In this process,the media played a role spokesperson.However,in terms of expression,since the new century the People's Daily reported more rational.By adjusting the reproducing content of the People's Daily,it attempt to mitigate nationalist sentiments,emphasizing the theme of the times of national revival.
