Yanan's Jiefang Daily was the first big daily which was founded by the Communist Party of China in the revolutionary base areas during the period of Anti-Japanese War. Under the war environment and poor material conditions it persevered in printing and improved continuously. It spread the Party's voice, propagandized the Party's policies in time and made a significant contribution to revolutionary causes.
