As China's largest newspaper, it is the most authoritative and most influential national newspaper. It is fully capable of presenting the mainstream media is how to construct media events and the impact of National Ideology.This paper uses "Agenda-setting theory" and "Frame theory" to analyze news reports. In addition, it uses the research methods of content analysis and text analysis to explore the construction of the image of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. I analyzed the "People's Daily" reported on the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression from 1949 to 2015,select news reports from August and September and finally received a total of 1158 valid samples. Through the quantitative statistics we can see that each encounter "The Whole Ten" anniversary, news reports will increase rapidly.78% of news reports are in a position of secondary importance. On the content categories side,1/3 social commentary news reports are about the War of Resistance Against Japan.And on the theme side,the main type of news report is commemorate.In the media framework, "People's Daily" mainly use three frames:suffering framework, national humiliation framework and peace framework. And through the analysis found that at different times, "People's Daily" reported on the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression is a different emphasis.We also found that the news reports all has strong political ideology colors. In the narrative techniques, it has the characteristics of theme concise and heroic discourse.
