The reliance on automation of Industrial is increasing because of the more and more complex field environments. These are urgent needs to develop prevention-oriented and efficient monitoring and control system. Traditional industrial monitoring system by the time the technical level of development restrictions, have significant limitations and complexity of the application.This paper proposed model of industrial monitoring and control system with Gigabit Ethernet based on FPGA on the premise of analyzing the deficiencies in current monitoring network. Tere we use DE1-SoC hardware platform to discuss the software and hardware design development. In hardware design, we use Quartus II software to built HPS hardware system, and add the video display components make video support, UART module for RS485 bus. In hardware design, we configured and compiled Preloader, U-Boot, Linux kernel and file system, and made the bootable Linux system image. Based on the Linux system, we build a Web server for data viewing and management, FTP server for video file transfers, database server used for data storage, streaming media server for video transmission and porting the Modbus master protocol for industrial equipment to access. At the end, we use HTML and CGI technology achieved the management and data-view system based on web pages.The test results show that the system build in this paper realizes the expected function. Tested under Gigabit network environment, the file transfer rate of the system can reach 105 MB / s(840Mbps, approaching 1Gbps). System with single camera, and under the conditions of real-time transmission resolution at 640 × 480 and 10 frames per second, network bandwidth is 1.02 Mbps. Modbus master can communication reliable with the transmission rate from 4800 BPS to 115200 BPS, and the error rate is only 0.27% when with the transmission rate of 38400. The system is in line with expectations of the design requirements.
