In the field of industrial automation, as the constant expansion of the industrial enterprises and the increasing levels of industrial automation, making the R&D and design of the monitoring system of the industrial field increasingly became more important. The development of various of fieldbus and the promotion of industrial Ethernet technology provided a good platform for the development of the industrial site monitoring network and application technology. Fieldbus and computer technology both had its own limitations. The applications of the combination within industrial fieldbus and industrial Ethernet technology, as well as the effective integration of communication, was the inevitable trend and effective way in the development of industrial on-site monitoring system.The fieldbus technology was difficult to run in a higher level of plant management network, and due to the uncertainty of their own communication and poor anti-interference ability reasons, the industrial Ethernet technology was difficult to apply in production field, and it was difficult to ensure the effective and reliable equipment operation. Using existing Delta PLC Series modular products, and with the help of hardware conditions and PLC program,the fusion between fieldbus technology and industrial Ethernet technology was realized. It was significant in the development of the monitoring system by building a reliable, strong anti-interference ability, as well as timely and stable industrial communication network. Based on VB6.0 platform, integrated considering the technical requirements of the hot billet identification system, as well as the technology constraints of the factory network, a realistic real-time monitoring system interactive interface was developed.First, the development process and the development trend of the industrial site monitoring system were introduced in this paper; And then the industrial fieldbus technology in this field was introduced; At last, combination of business requirements and existing hardware conditions, the integration of fieldbus technology and industrial Ethernet technology was provided.In this paper, the industrial fieldbus and Ethernet merging problem was proved from a technical point. The fieldbus technology and industrial Ethernet technology were introduced. The entire industrial communication network was established from the point of view of the market-oriented product. The CANopen communication protocols as well as Modbus/TCP communication protocols were selected as the communication network from the site PLC to the control room. By configuration of hardware parameters to the relevant network and the preparation of the corresponding communication program, the communication was implemented.Based on VB6.0 platform, man-machine interface of the PC monitoring program, and the equipment of automation-running monitoring were developed. And the seamless connection from the control room to the site was realized. The PC monitoring interface development technology by integrating serial communications and industrial Ethernet communication were developed, and the difficulty of interface development was reduced, and the project development cycle was shorten to provide a reliable communication network in the whole monitoring system.
