Design And Implementation Of Student Status Management System Of Anhui Finance & Trade Vocational College

In recent years, making use of the IT technology, a rapidly developing technology, in the practice management has been a trend. Since 2004, the sharp increase in the number of students as well as the teaching faculty in Anhui Finance & Trade Vocational College does complicate the students status management, which should be solved properly to meet the requirements of Ministry of Education for both the standardization of the information of students'status in colleges and universities and its corresponding management. Actually, neither the traditional manual management nor just Excel can deal with the management of students'status, a more and more sophisticated task in the daily management in the colleges or universities. Therefore, it is absolutely imperative that the development and construction of the students'status management system is the top priority in the process of informationization of Anhui Finance & Trade Vocational College, because the students'status is the major data source of data information platform in the college platform.Based on the survey of the process of students'status management, and the consideration of the variable factors in the future students'status management, this paper, adopting.NET Framework, the XML Web Service, and the background database of SQL Server 2008, developed a students'status management system characterized by the use of Smart Client. According to the analysis of software system, this paper, firstly, introduced the related technologies involved in this system. And then, it analyzed the project requirements, such as its feasibilities, its functional and non-functional analyses, and so on. Thirdly, the paper systematically elaborated the process of designing the students'status management system, from the framework to the function module to the interface and the detailed design of function module as well as the database. And, in the implementation of the function module of students'status management system, it also carefully explained the design and the implementation of the major function modules including those for the students'registration, the electronic registration, annual students' registration, and the registration of educational background, all of which have realized the automation of the students'status management by the decrease in the intensity of work and the improvement of efficiency of management.The use of Smart Client grants the students'status management system a great number of features, such as the good interactivity, the off-line working mode, the no-touch deployment, the automatic update, the terminal devices fully utilized, and so on. At present, the most modules of the students'status management system has been achieved. And, from the practical implementation, this system functions well, which is characterized by the reliability, accuracy and stability, which satisfies users' basic needs.
