Design And Implementation Of Student Management Information System In Colleges And Universities Based On Smart Client And SOA

With the rapid development of information technology and computer network technology, and the rapid spread of Internet, China has entered the information age, digital has become the trend of social development. As an important force of social education and scientific research, universities and colleges have introduced the "digital" into the campus, and proceed to build some information system and information service platform to serve teaching, research and management.In recent years, China's higher education has entered a period of rapid development. Universities and colleges expanded scales, the number of students increased every year. Because of the emergence of multiple campuses and a comprehensive collection of tuition fees, there are more flexible way to help students, psychological problems of students have become increasingly prominent and so on, student affairs is more complicated and difficult to manage, the workload of student affairs departments becoming more difficult. Through the use of information technology and campus networks, built student's electronic files, achieved the management of students by information technology, not only reduced the burden of student management to improve management efficiency and quality of work, but also improved the quality of education and promoted the development of China's education career.By combining the student management practice of Wuhan University of Science and Technology, using the service-oriented architecture and smart client technology, this paper introduce an in-depth practice of the construction of student management information system, mainly include the following:1. Analyzed the actual work of student management, and the demands of student management information system;2. Introduced the basic concepts, characteristics, data access of smart client, occasionally connected, and the advantages of smart client that the fat client and thin client doesn't have;3. Introduced the basic concepts and characteristics of service-oriented architecture, analyzed the features and advantages of web services that is well suited to implementing SOA;4. Put forward and studied the point of combine smart client technology and SOA;5. Designed and implemented the student management information system based on smart client technology and SOA, introduced the realization and the key technology of the implementation.
