The Application Of Smart Client In The System Of Network Management

The purpose of this design is to develop a Smart Client demo based on the system of network management. Since the technique of traditional Clients has been put into practice very well, I studied the advantages of Smart Client in contrast with traditional B/S and C/S Clients, plus I designed the involved functions and implemented them.The first part of the paper is to introduce the concept of Smart Client and its primary features, on the ground of which I compare Smart Client with the traditional Clients (Thin Client, Fat Client) from all aspects to emphasize the advantages that Smart Client inherits from Thin Client and Fat Client. Following the first part, the paper states the key techniques related to Smart Client design. After that, the paper introduces the OSS model which applies the Smart Client, and I put more attention on the deal of data. And then, the paper displays the followed items in details: the connection of corresponding databases(including user information and local data memory), the implementation of seamless connection between online and offline, the deployment and update of Client and the security design as well.
