With the development and popularity of the Internet, it has become an indispensable part of people's life. According to the data issued by CNNIC(China Internet Network Information Center), the number of middle school students' network users is growing rapidly,and the time they use the internet is longer and longer.In addition, the students' information literacy and information technology education gradually are taken seriously, and with the development of information technology, web-based learning activities are getting promoted in primary,it becomes more universal that students search learning materials through the network to improve their study performance.The study of middle school students' web information-searching behavior aims to understand the students' ability and characteristics of web information-searching behavior, and enrich the theoretical research of web information-searching behavior, lay a foundation for improving the students' ability of web information-searching.This paper involves three research methods:literature research,observation,and questionnaire survey.According to the survey of the middle school students' web information-searching experience, this paper set a group of the web information-searching task, record the searching-behavior of students, extract characteristics of web information-searching behavior, analysis the web information-searching behavior of middle school students. The content mainly includes:First,relevant literature research from home and abroad.Through the methods of literature review,on the basis of digging into domestic and foreign literature studies about web-searching behavior,the paper summarize the related research from four aspects:the connotation of the web information-searching behavior,the web information-searching behavior by using the search engine,the factors and research methods of the web information-searching behavior.Second,the survey of middle school students' web information-searching experience and the situation of using the internet. The research mainly includes:the basic situation of students, the purpose,the experience and frequency and the influence of the outside groups on the students' using of the internet behavior.By analyzing the data, this paper have a premilinary understanding of the situation of using the internet and web information-searching experience of students. According to the research results,this research sets the web information-searching tasks at the same time.Third,the survey of middle school students' investigation of web information-searching behavior.This research uses Hyper Cam to record the search behavior when students search information.By referencing the descriptions about the web information-searching process at home and abroad,in this paper,the web information-searching process is divided into the behavior of using search engine,determining the search keywords,browsing the list of results and browsing websites in this paper.Then, this research extracts the behavior characteristics from search video,including the search time,change of keywords,the time and number of browsing the list of results and websites,repetition frequency and so on.Last,on the basis of analyzing the data of behavior characteristics and the survey results, this paper summarizes the characteristics of middle school students' web information-searching behavior,and analysis that, whether there is difference on web searching-behavior between different groups of students,whether outside groups affect the searching-ability of students.Combined with the characteristics of middle school students' web information searching behavior, this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the students' ability of the web information-searching.The following conclusions are drawn in this paper through the questionnaire survey and the correlation analyses of students' search behavior characteristics:1.The middle school students have high network utilization, and it is very common that students use search engines to search information.2.There are many problems in the web information-searching behavior of middle school students, mainly displays in determining search keywords,the evaluation of information and information source, search strategy and so on.3.There are some differences in the web information-searching ability between students of different gender, different cognitive styles, and different age groups.4.The parents' attitude and behavior to the students' use of web have a certain influence to the web information-searching ability.Combined with the characteristics of middle school students' web information searching behavior, this paper puts forward some suggestions to improve the students' ability of the web information-searching, which is given priority with advice to students, mainly concluding the study and application about determining key words, evaluating information, and improving the efficiency of browsing webpage and so on.
