High School students is a huge group.Sophomore of High School is a special group ofthis group,which probably neglects to manage and causes problems.The students of this stageare almost16-18years old.They are at puberty, their thinking, emotion, personality changerapidly. The information needs of sophomore students are very strong,the types of informationneeds are extensive, information environmentis are well-developed,the situation ofinformation services is complicatied.The information needs and information behaviorresearch has very important practical significance.The basic theory of information services is a theoretical basis of this paper.Through thequestionnaire,I study the Chengde No.1High School students inculde science and liberal artsstudents. The reason why I choose Chengde No.1High School is that the school library ofChengde No.1High School has been efficient used in the Chengde Region,the students arethe best relatively. The contents of the survey is designed according to the understanding ofinformation needs and the process of information acquired,and statistical analysis includs fivemain areas:(1) The basic information investigation of High School sophomore students,including students gender, Arts and Sciences division, age, accommodation, whether U.S.health body tone and so on.Because the survey is very centralized, so I distinguish thestudents through these basic categories, then I statistics and comparative study thecharacteristics of different types of groups.(2) High School sophomore student’s informationneeds survey: including a variety of information needs, the purpose of information needs andgo to the library, the supplementary demand of subject,understand the status quo ofsophomore students information needs.(3) High School sophomore students informationenvironment. The user’s information environment includs information sources around thestudents,the knowledge about the information center, network lost, the lectures on how toobtain information, the knowledge of information compensation for the use and intellectualproperty rights.(4) High School sophomore students appraisal about the school library toprovide information on the content, the speed, librarian services, factors affecting the use ofthe library, the impact on the information needs of elements of satisfaction, and networkinformation on the library and other aspects of trust evaluation. Student satisfaction with theservices of information is a basic indicator of information services.(5) High Schoolsophomore students information behavior preferences.It includs the study about the quality of student information, use of library preferences, network preferences, ways and means ofaccess to information. Based on the above statistical analysis of survey content, theinformation needs of sophomore students and information behavior have a clearunderstanding of the status quo, according to the statistical content analysis of informationneeds and information on High School Student behavior problems and propose appropriatestrategies for high school students information to improve the quality of education andlong-term development strategy to provide appropriate data to support specified.Questionnaire distribution and recovery is in Chengde No.1High School, distributionand recycling of shares equal to454copies, of which432valid questionnaires, representing95%of the total number of questionnaires. Liberal arts students investigate two classes of81valid questionnaires; science students investigated eight classes,351valid questionnaires.Survey statistics show that students age is between15-19years old, the informationneeds are exuberant, information needs are comprehensive range, but to meet the informationneeds to obtain a low level. Information needs of students access to information andknowledge are very subjective and arbitrary, the utilization of library and network is very low,access to information that the network is the primary channel. Students with high qualityinformation, but the contradictions of the few time available is obvious. So high school shouldstrengthen the school’s information resources information center,update the speed and thecontent. To provide a supplementary means to promote student access to information.The highschool should pay more attention to information literacy education.The library shouldemphersize the use of network equipment and resources,guide the students to use the netcorrectly,conduct students’ information needs and information behavior to develop healthy.In short, this paper bases on the theory of information services, investigates theinformation needs of sophomore students status and information behavior,analyzes thecharacteristics and discipline of information needs and information behavior of sophomorestudent, finds the problems, proposes appropriate strategies, and boldly predict its futuredirection.I hope this paper may do some work for the Project of high school informationeducationv.
