With the development of science and technology, the pulse magnetic field becomes a new kind of research tools in physics, chemistry, biology, materials science and other research areas. The pulsed power supply is one of the crucial elements of the high magnetic field facility, and it determines the waveform, pulse width, and the strength of the magnetic field. Therefore, it is particularly important to study the pulsed power supply. According to the plan of the Wuhan National High Magnetic Field Center in Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the pulsed capacitor bank is selected as the high magnetic field power supply.In this paper the main work is concluded as follows: Firstly, several types of the current existing pulsed power supply and some schemes of charging technology are analyzed, and the serial resonance charging technology is selected as the charging mode of the energy storage capacitor of pulsed magnetic field. Secondly, it analyzes three working modes in the high frequency condition by using mathematical methods, and the discontinuous current mode(DCM) is selected as the working mode of the circuit. The theory of constant current charging is put forward. Thirdly, according to the circuit diagram of the high magnetic field facility and its performance indicators, the parameter design and components selection of the charge and discharge circuit are completed the control circuit is designed based on TMS320F2812 chip. Fourthly, the charge and discharge circuit are simulated by simulation software MATLAB, and the simulation results and theoretical analysis are compared. Finally, the power supply system prototype is set up and debugged, and experimental results verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis and parameter design.
