During the past 20 years, various aspects of capacitive pulsed power supply such as energy storage density, repetition rate and the diversification control means have developed rapidly, with the development and in industrial and scientific fields, the rapidity and some extent precision of discharging voltage must be considered, the research on these aspects is studied in this paper.Firstly the domestic and international development of capacitive energy storage pulsed power supply is commented, the current technical development level, the research progress of key devices, the progress of circuit topology analytical theories, the expanding technique and some relevant research points in this fields are compared and discussed.Secondly the main circuit's working principle of adopted capacitive energy storage and release pulsed power supply with voltage regulation is analyzed and simulated, including the main circuit choosing, the charging circuit's analysis, the simplification of the main circuit, the modeling of the charging circuit supplied by the ripple voltage from AC commutation. The control strategy of rapid charging based on ideal model and the voltage reference unilateral approach are also simulated. Then the discharging process is analyzed and simulated, the three discharging modes are analyzed and the energy feedback's influence on the system's repetition rate is discussed. Afterwards the whole pulsed power supply system is simulated and its working performance is checked. And then the control circuits of the power system including zero-crossing detecting circuit, capacitor's voltage detecting circuit, control circuit of shift phase triggering module, control circuit of the discharging thyristor and the over-voltage protecting circuit are designed, the problems in A/D conversion of capacitor's voltage and the controlling single-phase voltage regulation module by PWM based the main control device PIC16F877 are also discussed, then the keyboard, display circuits and the interfacing communication circuit with industrial PC are introduced.
