Since the advent of laser, its strong vitality promote the development of photoelectron technology and its related industries, laser has a wide range of application in various fields. Pulsed solid-state laser power supply is one of the most important parts in laser, with the growing applications of laser, the technical performance, reliability, maintainablity and other requirements of the power supply are also getting higher and higher. The contents of this research is based on the material processing performance requirements to laser power supply.According to the traditional pulsed solid-state laser power supply structure is complex, bulky and other shortcomings, this research makes some corresponding improvement, let the trigger circuit and the simmer circuit combined with one part, the trigger phase is voltage source and the simmer phase is constant current source, this can make the trigger supply reliable and do a successful ignition; To meet the requirements of high voltage in trigger phase, this research use two stage of transformer to achieve the required value; In order to produce pulse laser, a power supply is required to carry out a high power discharge for solid-state laser. At present, it is unable to use average power supply directly to solid-state laser, In this paper, the capacitor is used as the energy storage element, the energy is accumulated from the low average power circuit, when the voltage reaches a certain value, the capacitor discharge to the solid-state laser; For the charging circuit of energy storage capacitor, this research analysis and comparison several common solutions, finally choose series resonant mode and analysis the process of the circuit, some characteristics of the circuit are obtained and provide theoretical support for the design of the latter parameters; At the beginning, the current of energy storage capacitor discharge to pulse xenon lamp is high, it is easy to cause damage to pulse xenon lamp, In order to overcome this shortcoming, we choose single LC discharge circuit and do some analyzed and simulated; For laser reliability requirements, this research has done a detailed study, through improve the relevant protection circuit to reduce the damage to laser components when a fault occurs.The feasibility of the designed circuit is verified by simulations and experiments, it can meet the basic requirements of the pulsed solid-state laser to power supply. In order to verify the reliability of the protection circuit, a short circuit test was carried out, about 5 s after the occurrence of the short circuit, the power supply is cut off, and the power supply is not damaged.
