As the key of electromagnetic launch technology, pulsed power supply technology has developed very fast in the recent decades. It has the characteristics of high voltage, high current and high power pulse. Along with more and more miniaturized request of the pulsed power supply module, the pulsed power supply also faces the problems of improving energy density. Inductive energy storage technique is the solution of this problems. It can increase the energy storage density by 10 even 100 times. But it also puts forward more requirement of the switch in the system. The research is about the application of SCR in inductive energy storage pulsed power supply. The main work as follows:First, this paper introduces and contrasts several common power semiconductor devices, explains the reason choosing thyristor as the opening switch, and, analysis the basic structure of SCR to know the characteristics it as an opening switch.Secondly, analyze the topology of the inductive energy storage pulsed supply, and use Simplorer 11.0 simulation. Explore the turn-off characteristic of SCR by changing the initial parameters of the circuit to identify the influencing factors of thyristor turn-off. To provide a reference of device selection and setting the initial parameters.Thirdly, design and testing the trigger module for SCR. The through-current capability of thyristor is connected with the trigger signal directly. In the pulsed power supply, we need design the drive circuit according to the system requirement to control charging and discharging of the circuit.Finally, measuring the current and voltage of the system in different initial, and comparing the simulation data with the measured date, then puts forward the turn-off characteristic of SCR in inductive energy storage pulsed power supply.This dissertation research the turn-off characteristic of SCR, provide a reference of the application of SCR in the inductive energy storage pulsed power supply.
