Nowadays, with the rapid development of the global economy and intensification of the energy shortages, people all over the world began to develop and use the new energy sources. As a representative of high energy density of mobile power supply, fuel cells are widely used in mobile communications, micro power source, national defense construction and other fields. And in numerous fuel cells, as the new power generation, Proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC) is developing rapidly, and its broad prospects of application can be invaluable.Membrane electrode assembly(MEA) is the central portion of the PEMFC, its performance and manufacturing costs are very critical. As the key device of MEA production line, the control performance of coating device plays an important role to produce MEA with high efficiency and low cost. And the tension control of thin film coating device is the key technology in the process of production, the effect of the tension control directly affects the quality of the products. To ensure the safe, stable operation of the MEA production lines, it is necessary to real time control the tension of the processing procedure correctly and reliably. The thesis mainly designs and simulates the control system of coating device, it includes the following aspects:Firstly, this thesis analyses the present situation of domestic and foreign research on the tension control system, and understands tension control method. Based on these results and in combination with the processing technology of coating device, this thesis analyses the causes of tension and the dynamic characteristics of tension system. This thesis selects rolling-up and rolling-back as the research object, and presents the detail scheme about tension control of rolling-up and rolling-back according to their different procedures control requirements, then select appropriate executive component and tension detection device and establishes corresponding mathematical model.Afterward, we design the tension control system hardware circuit of coating device based on DSP-TMS320F28335, including the processor module, tension sensor module, power supply module, serial communications module, current sense circuit, speed sampling module and power drive module. Based on the hardware platform, we design software with C language, including main program, proportional controller based on phase plane division control program, A/D sampling program, rotational speed measurement subroutine, motor-control program and data display subroutine, and give out flowcharts of the principal program.Finally, considering the tension control system is a complex system with nonlinear, strong coupling and disturbances characteristic, it's difficult to achieve good results by using the traditional PID controller in this case. Therefore, the proportional controller based on phase plane division control is put forward and applied to the tension control system by means of comparing traditional PID controller with the proportional controller based on phase plane division control. In addition, rolling-up and rolling-back are simulated by using Matlab software, the result show that the tension control system can satisfy the requirements of reliability and real-time control by adopting the proportional controller based on phase plane division control.
