Laboratory, as an indivisible part of colleges and universities infrastructure, it plays an increasingly important role in the discipline construction, scientific and technological innovation, personnel training and cultivating the national scientific research base. As a result of the laboratory scale is constantly expanding, it accumulated more and more historical data, and quite complex on the logic; However, traditional laboratory management mode is still in a paper assignment stage, As a result, it is particularly important to design and develop a new type of laboratory information management system; it can make together laboratory managers, staff and students fully, to ensure the normal and orderly work of the laboratory, to improve the work efficiency of laboratory as much as possible. Based on the research background of the laboratory currently facing difficulties, develop the design of the laboratory information management system, the main research content is as follows:On the basis of introducing the laboratory information management system's overall structure, the paper completes the demand analysis of the laboratory. By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of C/S and B/S structure, it puts forward a mixed structure design based on C/S and B/S, and the research task is divided into six parts: system function module, basic information management module, equipment management module, experimental planning module, query module, information release module, and it introduces the functions of these modules.SQL Server 2008 is selected as the background database, and the data table is in accordance with the design principle of the database; with the analysis of the various database access technology, it uses ADO interface for data storage and query, and the data table is optimized which improves the efficiency of data access.Using the advantage of artificial neural network in prediction data, it establishes the model of three layer feed forward network based on BP algorithm, and it sets up the corresponding framework in VC and MATLAB which the predicted results are basically the same, solving the difficult problem of laboratory experiment device quantity, and it provides the basis for forecasting laboratory annual device amount.It completes the human-computer interaction interface design of the different functional modules and introduces the parameters of each function modules; it tests each modules to ensure the effective operation of the laboratory information management system.
