Design And Implementation Of Laboratory Information Management System For Chemical Analysis

With the widening and deepening of the science research area as long as the more overalland more normative management of laboratory, both the business data and the managementdata in the laboratory are increasing exponentially. As a result of this, it is an urgent problemfor all kinds of laboratory that how to record, manage and use data resource efficiently.Obviously it is not scientific or practical that collect and analysis data manually. So building alaboratory information management system which can collect, deal, transfer, store and shareall kinds of data fast is of great sense to the development of laboratory.This paper mainly introduces the development process of a laboratory informationmanagement system. The background of this system is the business demand of a chemicalanalysis laboratory of Academy of Military Medical Sciences. This system analyzes andmodels the system function and performance requirements by demand analysis method ofinformation system. This system adopts B/S based on PHP, follows the design pattern ofMVC, uses Zend Studio7.1as the development platform, uses Oracle10g as the databaseplatform, applicates Apache2.0server, and develops with the Zend framework technology. Atlast the system realizes the functions of experimental process, material assets and auxiliarycondition management, passes the test and serves the laboratory online.Firstly, the paper introduces the background, the details, the structure and the meaning ofthis topic. Then this paper discusses the technology used by the system. In the part of systemdemand analysis, the paper introduces the structure and functions of the laboratory, analyzesand models the business demand, designs the operation architecture, defines everyperformance index, and proofs the feasibility of the system. In the part of system design, thepaper introduces the overall design proposal, divides and designs every functional module,and elaborates system data model, data dictionary and the security policy of system. In thepart of system realize and test, the paper introduces the development tool and environment,elaborates the functions and process of the system, introduces the test strategy and process,and provides the result of the test. At last, this paper introduces the performance andsummarizes the main features of the system, looks into the future of the system promotion, and proposes the hope for the completing and development of the system.
