| With the development of computer and communication, especially the rapid development of Internet, management of laboratory has improved. The old management is out of date. People use computer to collect, analyze and handle data, and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) has come into being.Firstly, this thesis introduces the backgrowKL object and meaning of the project. Secondly, it discusses the actuality of LIMS and involves theoretic and technical discussions of research. In this paper, it gives a design and analysis in detail for the sub-system plan management of BL-LIMS. Finally, it introduces the realization of BL-LIMS. The main points are as followings:1. BL-LIMS adopt a 3-tier architecture of dynamic web application system, which has used database. It's a Brower/Web Server/Database Server based on 3-tier Brower/Server architecture. Data can store in different operation system. This system has many advantages, such as security, reliability, expansibility, easiness for use and maintenance.2. According with regulations constituted by the Baling Company, taking present and future demands into account, based on business analyze, the system uses Windows 2000 Advance Server for network operation system, Oracle 8i for Relational Database Management System, TOMCAT 4.0 and WebLogic for Web Server.3. BL-LIMS is based on operation demands of the Center of Technology and Development in Baling Company. The development is applied for security, reliability, accuracy, handsomeness, and higher performance with more and finer functions.4. The sub-system of plan management business is developed based on analysis of operation flow, which realized computerized transaction of contract, material, fee, device, science research, etc. The user-friendly interface is good-looking, intuitionistic, simple and convenience for operation.BL-LIMS has been taken into the experimental operation in the Center of Technology and Development in Baling Company, and will soon be used in the production.
