With the development of China's economy and other aspects,Chinese as a carrier of Chinese cultural heritage has received increasing attention from countries around the world.The trend toward the younger generation of foreign learners who are learning Chinese has become increasingly apparent,making young foreign children more focused and interested in learning Chinese is becoming a topic whichworthy of discussion.Based on the author's perspective as avolunteer Chinese language teacher to Western Australia,and taking the practice and observation in the classroom of the primary school in Western Australia as an example,after one year of practice and research,this paper demonstrates the vividness of the TPR teaching method.The coherence of TPR teaching method and learner's body is particularly suitable for Chinese teaching in Western Australia.This article is divided into six parts,the specific content is as follows:Chapter 1 Introduction: The first chapter briefly expounds the development of Chinese overseas teaching and the reasons for writing this article.It introduces the relevant theories and literatures about TPR teaching methods at home and abroad,and briefly explains the research methods used in this article.Chapter 2Explains the concept,theoretical basis,characteristics and teaching principles of TPR teaching method.Chapter 3The author conducted a practical survey of the application of the TPR teaching method in Chinese language teaching in Western Australia primary school in the form of a questionnaire.The characteristics of local Chinese language teaching were analyzed to further illustrate the feasibility and constructiveness of the TPR teaching method forChinese teaching in primary schools in Western Australia.Chapter 4Combination of theory and practice.Through the analysis of the questionnaire in the previous chapter and the three parts of the cases listed in this chapter,we analyzed the application of the TPR teaching method in Elementary Chinese Teaching for Foreigners in WesternAustralia and arrived at the conclusions of this study.Chapter 5Reflection and Inspiration.And for the TPR teaching method in the actual teaching application of shortcomings and deficiencies.Summary.Through comprehensive examples of theory and practice,the TPR teaching method is applicable to elementary Chinese teaching in primary schools in Western Australia,and it has a positive effect on local Chinese teaching.On the other hand,it also recognizes the limitations of the TPR teaching method.
