Mathematics is considered as gymnastics of thoughts.Geometric learning plays a major role in cultivating students' logical thinking ability.This study evaluates the geometric learning status of eighth grade students in a secondary school in Kunming by using the theory of "geometric thinking" of the Dutch math educator Fan Hill,and proposes the teaching of geometric teaching in junior high school.This study combines the use of literature,test,interview and case law to focus on two issues: first of all,through the investigation and study,the paper analyzes the situation of quo of geometric learning of eighth grade students in a district in Kunming,understands the true geometric thinking of students,and explores the reasons for the differences in the formation of geometric thinking;Secondly,on the basis of investigation and research,the author randomly selects six students from the middle school eighth grade students to do a case study.Through the case study,the author follows the literature review of geometric to put forward some suggestions about "learning" and "teaching".The main conclusions of this study are: The eighth grade students who achieve the paradigm of geometric thinking level of two account for 30%,the level of three accounting for 48%,and the level of four accounting for 22%.This is similar to the findings of the relevant national research,male and female students' geometric thinking level has no significant difference.Through case studies,the main ways to improve students' geometric thinking level are: first of all,increasing knowledge of meta-knowledge of "graphics and geometry".In the teaching geometric proof and geometric calculation,pay attention to start from the intuitive thinking,try to analyze the known conditions in the title and the relationship between the conclusion to be tested,try to find the conditions and conclusions between the bridge,and then prove or calculate according to logical thinking,the corresponding geometry Proof or geometric calculation of the writing format;Second,improve students' metacognitive monitoring ability to help students form a good learning habits and learning behavior.Mainly following four points:(1)to develop a study plan and adhere to the plan;(2)to pay attention to learning efficiency;(3)to independently research and to be good at thinking;(4)to independent study.Recommendations of the "graphics and geometry" teaching are: First,focus on the basic ideas and the basic method of explanation;Second,strengthen students' understanding of geometric concepts.The in-depth understanding of the concept is to develop the basis of "four basics";Third,use triangular knowledge to solve the problem of the quadrilateral,round;Fourth,pay attention to the classification and induction of knowledge when teaching;Fifth,pay attention to cultivate students to the ability of seeing pictures and drawing to enhance the students' space concept,cultivate geometric intuition as well as improve geometric reasoning ability;Sixth,combine geometric teaching and information technology effectively.
