Research On Social Work Intervention In Urban Community Disabled People's Social Integration Service

China currently has more than 80 million people with disabilities,and 70 million families with at least one family member disabled.The total disabled population is near 300 million,and the number is still growing.In the eighteenth general assembly report of Communist Party of China had called “to improve the social security and service system for the disabled,and effectively protect the rights and interests of persons with disabilities.” The problem faced by the disabled is a problem not only worthy of attention,but also an important and urgent content of building a well-off society in an all-round way and building a harmonious socialist society.Because of the defects of physical or psychological development,the disabled people are in a very disadvantageous position in the social life and competition,therefore faced with difficulties in integrating into the mainstream society.Social work is a developing discipline in universities and important occupation for the communities.As an important means of social services,the professional values and working methods of social work prove to be instrumental in solving social problems,promoting social justice and maintaining social order.Social work for the disabled can effectively help the disabled to enhance their ability and power,to improve their social functions and then to live a normal life.At the same time,it can promote the mutual adaptation and good interaction between the disabled and the social environment.Therefore,the study on the intervention of social work in the social integration of the disabled is not only of theoretical significance,but also of practical significance.Based on the social support networks theory,reinforcement theory and strengths perspective theory,this paper takes T community in Shenzhen as a case to discuss present situations and problems existing in social integration of persons with disabilities.The paper establishes the feasibility of social work intervention in helping the disabled social problems.By analyzing the problem that the disabled is hard to integrate into the society by the means of analysis of the individual case,group and community and the conclusion of the integration result,the paper gives some advice to improve the disabled's ability to integrate into the society as well as to provide some suggestion and to provoke the thinking for the service of the disabled.The paper consists of five parts.The first chapter introduces the significance and background of the topic,the literature review,the author's research methods and research ideas,the definition of relevant concepts and theoretical basis.The second chapter introduces the basic situation of the T community and the needs and problems of the social integration of the disabled and the feasibility of social work intervention.The third chapter is the practical process of social work intervention in the social integration of the disabled,including case work,group work and community work.The fourth chapter is the effectiveness and reflection of social work intervention in the social integration of the disabled.The fifth chapter is the suggestions for the social integration of the disabled.
