Social Integration Of Disabled People Under The Perspective Of Social Work

The social integration of the disabled is not only a matter of personal problems,but also asocial problem.According to the second national disability sample survey data show,the total number of disabled persons in our country has reached 82.96 million,is a very large group.People with disabilities as a special social vulnerable groups,their living standards determine the national and social level of culture,need to attract the attention of society.Social work with disabled people need to have a thorough understanding of disabled persons special difficulties and requirements,help people with disabilities equal participation in life,enjoy the achievement of social development,integrate into society.In the total number of disabled people in our country,visually impaired accounted for a large proportion.In this paper,through the perspective of social integration,a project of help blind in Z city as an example,through the use of literature research,case interviews,field observation methods.Analyze the current situation of the visually impaired social integration of Z city,explore the difficulties encountered in the process of social integration.Social workers mainly involved in the cultural life of the visually impaired,through the group activities,volunteer training and management,the establishment of a comprehensive platform for visually impaired,how social workers to promote the social integration process of visually impaired a detailed elaboration.Assess the process of social integration,the process of social integration into the social barrier,social entry,social integration of the three stages.Under the guidance of social integration theory,this paper divides into the three dimensions of economy,culture and society,economic includes employment,income and consumption,living conditions;cultural includes cultural level,hobbies,entertainment and so on;social inclusion includes interpersonal communication,so cial support network establishment,social participation and so on.Studies have shown that the social barrier of the visually impaired is as follows: Economic integration by the employer's exclusion,the employment service guarantee mechanism is not perfect,employment protection policies are not implemen ted;Cultural integration does not receive equal access to education,special educa tion resources are scarce,integration of educational development is lagging behi nd;Social integration has personal psychological barriers,environmental barriers,p ublic awareness of social responsibility is weak,interests can not be protected.T hrough the intervention of social work,the analysis of the integration process sh ows that social workers involved in the social integration of the visually impai red is effective.Finally according to the research of carding and reflection,on h ow to promote the visually impaired social integration put forward correspondin g countermeasures,mainly including education,employment,social concern,the de velopment of public interest organizations and attention to disability prevention,hope to provide help for the visually impaired social integration research.
