As a disadvantaged group,orphaned and disabled children in welfare homes have been in a disadvantaged position for a long time,and their physical and mental development is facing many difficulties.In response to these problems,the government and social groups have carried out a series of education and improvement work for orphaned and disabled children.However,there are still problems in the education of orphans and disabled children in welfare homes,such as a single education program,lack of personalized services,and lack of professionalism in the services of the educators,which urgently need to be optimized.As a professional service activity,social work can play an important role in improving the education quality of orphaned and disabled children in welfare homes.The author took the opportunity of being an intern at the Federation of Social Organizations in District E of Z City,focusing on the "Integration of Nursing and Education" project of the Children’s Welfare Institute in Z City,under the guidance of theories of children’s cognitive development and social support,using observation methods,In-depth interview method,questionnaire method,literature method and other research methods,focused on the design and implementation process of the "Integration of Nursing and Education" project in the Z City Children’s Welfare Institute,and then used the logical evaluation model to explore its effectiveness and shortcomings.The author found that it existed The main problems include: Utopian project design,insufficient citation of practical experience;insufficient case intervention;shortage of professional talents;insufficient internal and external communication mechanisms;incomplete evaluation dimensions and lack of scientific indicators;After research,this article puts forward relevant suggestions on the above issues: first,give full play to the main advantages of orphaned and disabled children and target them according to actual needs;second,strengthen the intervention of casework and improve service content;third,strengthen the construction of professional talents and plan welfare Fourth,expand the internal and external communication mechanism of the welfare home;Fifth,improve the third-party evaluation ability and strengthen professional supervision;finally,give full play to the advantages of the media and strengthen work publicity to enhance the social influence of the project.
