A Comparative Study Of Different Chinese And "Chinese" Textbooks

This paper uses Different Chinese(formerly known as National Language)as the research object,which is edited by He Jipeng,authorized by Taiwan Dragon Culture LTD and published by Oriental Publishing House.In order to analyze the differences of middle school Chinese textbook between mainland China and Taiwan,and figure out pros and cons of Taiwan textbook Different Chinese,this paper will mainly focus on three aspects,curriculum objectives,selection system as well as the layout of textbook.Compared with PEP edition Chinese textbook for junior high school students in mainland China,this paper aims to find out a more suitable editing system for mainland education conception and provide theoretical basis for selection and writing of Chinese textbook.By researching,we find out the Taiwan Chinese textbook greatly concerned with the inheritance of literary classics.Students could not only acquire the knowledge of Chinese and improve the expression ability,but also could be polished and inspired by the fascinating words.Thus,the textbook enhances studen’s comprehension and enthusiasm of the outstanding Chinese culture.In another aspect,Different Chinese also lay emphasis on local culture.There are a number of selections about Taiwan culture are inclued.Compared with Different Chinese,the mainland one pays less attention on local culture education.Through a comparision with Different Chinese,the mainland textbook Chinese should have improvement on selection system,help-reading system and practice system: Obsorbing more local culture materials to help students increse the sense of identity;Paying more attention to content standardization and linguistic lifelization;Adding more exercises.find out a more suitable editing system for mainland education conception and provide theoretical basis for selection and writing of Chinese textbook.In this way,Chinese traditional culture can be inherited successfully.
