English songs as an important part of English national culture,not only show the vivid image of the local conditions and customs,but also provide rich and authentic language materials for learners.Primary school students love singing and dancing.They are more active and good at imitation,also show strong interest in learning.Therefore the primary school stage is the key period of language learning.Because English songs have the characteristics of strong sense of rhythm,catchy,easy to remember,so they are very suitable for children cognitive characteristics and physical and mental development requirements.Through the teaching of English songs,students have a strong interest and passion devote into English learning,making the boring classroom vivid and interesting.English songs teaching has so many benefits,but in the practical teaching,English songs in the teaching material textbook did not received enough attention,because there is a lack of attention or development problems,therefore teaching value has not been fully used.Based on the situation,this study adopts the method of literature,questionnaire,classroom observation and other research methods,focus on current situation of the English songs teaching in primary schools from the aspects of the English songs teaching awareness,teaching design,teaching implementation,teaching evaluation.Analyzes the existing problems and puts forward the strategy,in order to improve the status of the teaching of English songs in primary schools in Shijiazhuang cit and provide reference for other related studies.This study consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction.On this selected topic,mainly elaborated its basis and research significance,the related research at home and abroad,research ideas and methods,as well as the innovation of this study.The second part is an overview of the teaching of English songs.Mainly discusses the relevant concepts and theoretical basis.The third part is about the research and analysis of the current situation on the teaching of English songs in primary schools in Shijiazhuang city.Using the methods of questionnaire investigation,interview and classroom observation to have a survey on current situation of the English songs teaching in primary schools from the English songs teaching awareness,teaching design,teaching implementation,teaching evaluation four aspects.The fourth part is the main problems and causes during the teaching of English songs in primary schools.Based on the practice of questionnaire and interview,this paper analyses the problems existing in the teaching of English songs in primary schools from the aspects of cognition,teaching design,teaching implementation,teaching evaluation.Then analyses the causes for existing problems.The fifth part is the suggestions to improve the implementation effect of the teaching of English songs.In combination with the real situation of Shijiazhuang City,this paper puts forward the improvement suggestions from the aspects of the English songs teaching awareness,teaching design,teaching implementation,teaching evaluation.
