Education in classroom is a process of knowledge transmission from the teachers to the students, in a way of interactive combination of the teachers' teaching and the students' learning, with the teachers as the principal part, realized through the effective communication between the teachers and the students. In our country, the teaching mode is playing a dominant part in the teaching process, and it is a key of realizing the teaching goals, an efficient way of the nation's human resource growing. The blooming development of the Internet and the modern communication technology has vastly and rapidly changed the human society, and deeply influenced the education ways in middle schools. The New Media has brought along the both opportunities and challenges to the classroom teaching modes thanks to its rapidness in spreading, the abundance in content, the sharing of resources and the portability of the utilities. How to discover and research in the impact of the New Media on classroom teaching in middle schools, to evaluate the efficiency raised by the new media teaching environment and make reforms to and perfect the classroom teaching plays an extremely significant role in improving the teaching quality. Unlike other courses, ideology and politics education is both mental and scientific. Knowledge is not the only content in the teaching; the mortal growth is another major purpose. This makes it even more significant to research on the middle school ideology and politics education.In aspect of educational psychology, this Paper puts forward the class teaching suits better the middle school students. From the characteristics of the ideological and political course, the classroom teaching can better grasp the ideological and political education of the main direction of socialism, to ensure the completion of the task of national ideological and political education. It is helpful to guide middle school students to establish the correct moral concept, and has a very important role in the development of good ideological and moral quality of middle school students.This section introduces the characteristics of new media and its application in middle school ideological and political teaching. The impact of new media on the ideological and political teaching in the middle school was analyzed from four aspects: teaching methods, teaching content, students' thinking habits and factors about teachers. Opportunities and challenges co-exist; educators should be good at seizing opportunities and coping with challenges.Through the questioner survey, the author learnt about the the influence of the new media on the Ideological and political in-class teaching in middle schools. The result of the survey shows, despite the potential influence on classroom teaching brought by the new media, the classroom teaching cannot be replaced, and it remains the most popular and acceptable way of teaching. Anyway, up to 92% students want the new media technology and resources to be adopted as improvement to the classroom teaching. Based on the theoretical analysis and empirical study, conclusion is made on how to improve the traditional classroom teaching and how to create innovative class teaching taking advantage of the new media technologies. So that the traditional class teaching shall evolve together with the development of the new media era, and shall burden the responsibility to teaching ideological and political courses well.
