Research On The Teaching Practice Of Cultivating Students’ Physical Science Literacy

The revival of Chinese nation needs to improve the scientific literacy of all citizens. People with high scientific literacy can describe the phenomenon and development law of things happening with the scientific concept. They can also analyze the reasons of things happening, predict the result and apply the knowledge they have learned to the real life and then they can establish the correct outlook on life and world view.Physics is an important basic subject in natural science. The improvement of middle school students’ physical science literacy can improve the scientific literacy of the whole nation. Based on large numbers of literature reading, this paper conducts a research on physical science literacy and puts it into physics teaching practice. By the application of physical theories, physical concept, physical thinking method, physical experiment and physical knowledge as well as the physicist spirit, different teaching methods are adopted in physics teaching and students’ learning interest and innovation consciousness in physics have been improved. After more than half year’s teaching practice, the students’ physical scores have increased in different degrees.The improvement of students’ physical science literacy needs physical teachers to explore for a long time. We believe that physics teaching can become a miracle of the teaching world in the near future.
