As stated in High School Physics Curriculum and Standards, physicsis one of basic subjects in the field of science study in high schoolsin China, connected to the principle of nine-year compulsory educationof physics or science, aiming at improving physics science literacy ofhigh school students.On the basis of the investigation of science literacy at home andabroad and the characteristics of physical teaching in high schools, aswell as the analysis of the status quo of physical education, the paperdeals with the study of physics science literacy in physical educationand thus comes forward with the content and standards of physics scienceliteracy of high school students.By means of questionnaire designed for the status quo of scienceliteracy of high school students, the factors that have effect onstudents' physics science literacy are to be diagnosed. Finally, thesuggestions provided to improve physics science literacy are as follows.For one thing, it is suggested that physical teaching and curriculum bereformed. For another, physical teachers should be made to keep"sustainable development."...
