This study, based on the need-hierarchy theory and looking-glass self theory, with the use the self-certainty and external environment certainty as the entry point and the taking of the master’s graduates as the research objects, focuses on the anxiety of the master’s graduates and intervene their anxiety cognition and degree by using the method of group work and a total of six group activities, thus trying to help them correctly cognize anxiety, relieve excessive anxiety and make reasonable use of anxiety.First of all, in the forms of questionnaire and unstructured interview, the study analyzed the needs of the service objects and found that the target group had been bothered by cognitive biases of anxiety and target confusion. Aimed at the problems of the objects and based on the need-hierarchy theory and looking-glass self theory, this study designed a set of rigorous logic and detailed content.Secondly, the practical design of the study went further one by one and analyzed the specific implementation process and results of the practical program with the beginning of making the members target group understand anxiety correctly by, on the one hand, improving their certainty of self-cognition in the form of internal intervention and, on the other hand, improving their certainty of the external environment in the form of external intervention, thus finally making them realize the goal of correct anxiety cognition, alleviation and use. What’s more, this study encouraged the group participation by promoting the interaction between the group members and taking advantages of social work practice skills like making the activities more interesting and innovative.Finally, based on the analysis of the practical effects, this study came to the conclusions as follows: the intervention of group work into the master’s graduates helped a lot with their anxiety alleviation; from the analysis of progress and effect, it could be seen that it is of certain advantage that carrying out practical work like emotion adjustment by way of group work; and the first and most important step to solve the problem of anxiety is nothing but correct cognition of it, but anxiety is only just the specific and superficial problem of the college students and there remains more deep-seated problems for the social workers to find out and solve.
