A Comparison And Teaching Research On Color Words In Chinese And Thai

In vocabulary teaching of Chinese as a foreign,the students master the rational meaning and usage of vocabulary is the basic requirement of teaching,understand and apply the metaphorical meaning of words is necessary to use Chinese communicate.The color words in Chinese is very rich,the meaning derived from the color words also has a strong cultural characteristics.Compared with the Thai color words,Chinese color words are not only in the form of word formation,grammatical function differences,there are different in the metaphorical of meaning.This paper uses the comparative analysis method,the literature analysis method,the statistical analysis method and the error analysis method.By comparing the differences of the color words of Chinese and Thai,and analyzing the color words errors of the Thai students,provide a little strategy and inspiration for teaching Chinese color words in Thailand and cultural exchange between China and Thailand.This paper mainly discusses the writing reason,writing significance,research status and research theory and method,defines and explains the color words,Chinese basic color words and Thai basic color words,compares the characteristics of Chinese and Thai color words from the aspects of word formation,grammatical function,lexical meaning and so on,and then summarize the types and causes of errors in Thai students by collecting and investigating the error corpus of Thai students' color words,according to the type and cause of errors of Thai students,to development the corresponding color word teaching strategies,make a decision about the comparison of Chinese and Thai color words and color words teaching in Thai.
