| Our life is full of color,the world is colorful.In languages,color words are symbols to record them.These color words used in different national languages roughly the same.But when these words came to the social and cultural fields,the semantics arose different characteristics.Chinese culture is profound,color words enrich the Chinese vocabularies and our communicative language.Thai people attaches great importance to color,color culture permeated into all aspects of life.Due to differences between Chinese and Thai in language and cultural background,there are many similarities and differences in using color words.Comparative studies will enhance the cultural understanding of color words and help avoid possible cultural conflicts in intercultural communication activities,make the communicate more smoothly.The study on teaching strategies to Thai of Chinese basic color words aim to arouse Chinese teachers’ attention to the Chinese color words teaching in Thailand and provide practical teaching ideas for them. |
