An Interpreting Report On "Recent Developments In SLA And Possibilities Of International Publishing For Chinese Scholars Of Applied Linguistics"

In recent decades,the role of translators as a bridge of different cultural exchanges is particularly important in the cause of the development of globalization.With the deepening of the reform and opening up,translators as a link between Chinese and foreign people enable people around the world to hear from voice of different countries and groups both economically and culturally.As interpretation is one time effort and owns complicated process,while translation can be modified later,so in order to ensure the quality of translation,full preparation before interpretation for an interpreter is particularly important.This report analyzes factors that will affect interpreting and difficulties in interpreting.Meanwhile it analyzes any difficulties during the task.This report is based on the site interpretation of a lecture delivered by Professor Zhang Jun from the University of Auckland in New Zealand,which is divided into five parts.The first part mainly introduces the background of the text material.The second part is the preparatory process of the interpreting work.The third part is the detailed description of the interpretation process.The fourth part is the analysis of the case.The fifth part is the summary of interpreting practice.
