This report is based on the author's consecutive interpreting of the lecture entitled“Promoting Chinese Traditional Culture, Protecting Spiritual Home”, which is held in Jinzhong Teachers College in Shanxi Province. This report gives the detailed discussion of the whole consecutive interpreting through task description, process description, case analysis and summary. The author has improved her practical interpreting abilities by analyzing the interpreting practice and drawing lessons from this interpreting experience.This report consists of five chapters. Chapter One is the task description, which introduces the background information of this interpretation task. Chapter Two is the process description, which introduce the whole interpreting process and the work after the consecutive interpretation. Chapter Three is the preparation for interpretation, which include the information collection and interpretation prediction. Chapter Four is the case analyses of four kinds of problems the author finds out in the process of interpreting. The four kinds of problems can be concluded as: problems of cultural loaded words, wordy language, sentences fragments and illogical sentences. And at the same time, the author also puts forward the interpreting strategies coping with these problems. Under the guidance of Interpretive Theory,four strategies are proposed: annotation, omission, addition and logical readjustment. Chapter Five is the summary of this consecutive interpreting and what efforts will the author make in the future.
