Observation Of Clinical Effect Of Xianfang Xiaojie Decoction In Curing Children's Adenoidal Hypertrophy Phlegm Stasis Stagnation Symptom

Objective:The morbidity of adenoid hypertrophy is increasing in children for the past years,which has greatly affected children's physical and mental health and quality of life.This has draw wide attentionfrom the doctors andparents of children.In this study,the efficacy of Xianfang Xiaojie Decoction,Mometasone Furoate Aqueous Nasal Spray and Montelukast sodium Chewable Tablets in the treatment ofadenoid hypertrophyof children is evaluated objectively.It provides a basis for the treatment the adenoid hypertrophyof children with the syndrome differentiation of Chinese medicine to confirm the advantages of Chinese medicine forthe treatment of this disease.Methods:Sixty children with adenoid hypertrophy were included in the study.The random number table was divided into treatment group and control group with 30 cases each.The treatment group was given Xianfang Xiaojieyin,a traditional Chinese medicine decoction,when the control group was givenMometasone Furoate Aqueous Nasal Spray and Montelukast sodium Chewable Tablets.One month was a course of treatment.Two groups were treated for one course of treatment and followed up for one month.The score changed in the symptoms,signsand quality of life scores before treatment,after a month,and after treatment was observed.It is to evaluate the efficacy of Xianfang Xiaojie Decoction in the treatment of children with adenoid hypertrophy stagnation syndrome.Results:The total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 93.33%and 76.67%.The total effective rate of the two groups was tested as P=0.015(P<0.05),the difference reached statistical significant.Intragroup comparison:The two groups were compared before and after treatment for one month.After one month of treatment,the treatment group showed a significant decrease in the individual and total score of main symptoms in nasal congestion,sleep snoring,mouth breathing(P<0.01).The control group also decreased in the score of nasal congestion,sleep snoring(P<0.01),but the treatment for mouth breathing wasn't clear.P=0.527(P>0.05).Compared with a month after drug and before treatment,the treatment group still showed a significant decrease in the total scores of the main symptoms,the scores of the secondary symptoms,the integral of the A/N ratio,and the score of the OSA-18 scale(P<0.01);At the same time,the control group also had significant decrease except for mouth breathing(P<0.01).Comparison between groups:The two groups had great changes in the scores of the main symptoms and all secondary symptoms,A/N volume,OSA-18 scale(P<0.05),Thechanges in the scores of the main symptoms(P=0.004),the secondary symptom(P=0.005),and OSA-18 scale(P=0.000)after a month of treatment.The two groups had great changes in the scores of the main symptoms,the secondary symptoms,A/N volumeand OSA-18 scale after the drug was discontinued(P<0.05).The most significant differences were in thesecondary symptom(P=0.000)and OSA-18 scale score(P=0.004).Conclusion:Xianfang Xiaojie Decoction can obviously improve the clinical symptoms and the quality of life of children with adenoid hypertrophy.It can also regulate the physical constitution of children and strengthen the immunity of children to improve the effect of clinical treatment.
