Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Diabetes Combined With Restless Leg Syndrome With Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction

Objective:Study on diabetic patients with restless legs syndrome in TCM,evaluation of Taohong Siwu Decoction in treatment of diabetic patients with restless legs syndrome clinical curative effect,for Taohong Siwu Decoction for diabetic patients with restless legs syndrome treatment and provide theoretical and clinical basis.Methods:A randomized controlled study was applied to 50 diabetic patients with syndrome of yin deficiency and blood stasis diagnosed by restless legs syndrome.They were divided into treatment group(Chinese medicine group),25 cases and control group(25 cases).The treatment group was treated with basal hypoglycemic therapy combined with Modified Taohong Siwu Decoction.The control group was given basal hypoglycemic therapy.The course of treatment was 4 weeks.The clinical efficacy was evaluated at the beginning,first weeks,second weeks and 4 weeks,respectively.Two groups of patients at the beginning of the experiment,first weeks,2 weeks and 4 weeks of TCM syndrome integral and International RLS Rating Scale,to evaluate the treatment effect of patients,and observe the safety index and adverse events during the observation.The statistical analysis of all data was carried out by SPSS22 statistical software.Results:1.Baseline data of treatment group and control group included gender,age,course of disease,fasting blood glucose,postprandial 2 hour blood glucose and glycated serum albumin.After statistical analysis,P>0.05 showed no significant difference.It was considered that the two groups were comparable.2.Statistical analysis showed that fasting blood glucose,postprandial 2 hour blood glucose and glycosylated serum albumin P value were all greater than 0.05 in group and between groups.There was no significant difference between them,which could exclude the influence of blood sugar on TCM syndrome integral and International RLS Rating Scale.3.Inter group comparison:At the beginning of treatment,the P values of TCM syndrome score and International RLS Rating Scale of the treatment group and the control group were all greater than 0.05,and there was no significant difference(P>0.05),which was comparable.After 4 weeks of treatment,the P values of TCM syndrome score and International RLS Rating Scale of the treatment group and the control group were all less than 0.001,which had a very high statistical significance(P<0.001).4.Intra group comparison:The P values of the treatment group at the beginning of treatment and the first week of TCM syndrome score and International RLS Rating Scale were all greater than 0.05,and there was no significant difference(P>0.05),indicating that first weeks treatment was invalid;The P values of TCM syndrome score and International RLS Rating Scale were all less than 0.05 at the beginning of treatment and second weeks after treatment.There was a significant difference(P<0.05),that is,second weeks treatment was effective;The P values of TCM syndrome score and International RLS Rating Scale were all less than 0.001 in second week and fourth week period,with significant difference(p<0.001),indicating fourth weeks curative effect was significant,and better than second weeks.There was no significant difference between the control group and the control group(P>0.05),indicating that the treatment of the control group had no effect on TCM syndrome score and International RLS Rating Scale,and excluded the influence of blood sugar factors on the score of TCM syndrome and International RLS Rating Scale.Conclusion:The clinical study of modified Taohong Siwu Decoction for diabetic patients with restless legs syndrome treatment is safe and effective,and to reduce the patients with TCM syndrome score and International RLS Rating Scale has a significant effect,improve the life quality of patients,has a certain significance to the development of diabetic patients with restless legs in the field of Chinese medicine and pharmacy.
