Objective: To understand the turnover intention of in Urumqi Public Hospital,compare the differences of turnover intention among nursing staff with different background and explore the factors of turnover intention.So as to reduce the turnover intention of nursing staff,improve the situation of lack of nursing staff,stabilize the nursing staff,guarantee the service quality of nursing staff.Methods: The nurses came from 3A-level General Hospital of Urumqi were selected as research object.Investigation was performed by questionnaires,which including(1)General information: including sex,age,nursing-age,education,marriage,title,employment form,etc.(2)Job satisfaction scale;(3)Maslach burnout inventory;(4)Turnover intention scale;Collect and investigate the data and establish the database in the Epi Data3.0.Of double entry and the integrity of the database is formed by double entry error detection,so that the subsequent data analysis.Analysis of turnover intention using SPSS17.0 software.The general of the sample,basic demographic characteristics and the intention of the separation of the dimensions of the score were descriptive analysis.The differences of the turnover intention between the different demographic characteristics were compared by using t test and single factor analysis of variance(Inspection level ?=0.05,Bilateral).For the single factor analysis,the factors that may influence the turnover intention were analyzed by stepwise regression analysis.Results: 1.Of total 2182 nurses received this questionnaire,2125 questionnaires were recovered,the recovery was 97.39%;2101 questionnaires were available,response rate was 96.30%.2.The total turnover intention score of 2101 nurses were(14.01±3.21),having the motivation of looking for other work had the higest score,followed by the possibility to quit present and job opportunities and the possibility of getting external job.3.The total job satisfaction score was(63.55±17.98)and Maslach burnout inventory score was(70.13±14.15).4.Single factor analysis of variance indicated that age,nursing-age,education,marriage,department and income impact on nursing staff turnover intention(P<0.05),but sex,ethnic,employment form(P>0.05).5.The correlation analysis showed that the total score of Job satisfaction and Maslach burnout inventory were positively associated with turnover intention(P<0.05).6.Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that factors of turnover intention including income,job satisfaction,Maslach burnout inventory,nursing-age,education,age,department.Conclusion: 1.The turnover intention of nurses in Urumqi Public Hospital was high.2.Age,nursing-age,education,department,income and marriage effected on turnover intention.3.Job satisfaction and Maslach burnout inventory were positively associated with turnover intention.4.Income,job satisfaction,Maslach burnout inventory,nursing-age,education,age,department factors influenzed on turnover intention.
