Analysis Of Mental Health Status And Influence Factor Of Nursing Students In Traditional Chinese Medicine Colleges

Purpose: Through survey of the status quo of psychological health of students majoring in nursing at three grades in A college of traditional Chinese Medicine,this paper intends to analyze the psychological health situation of nursing students and relevant influencing factors,in order to propose according suggestions to improve their psychological health based on the influencing factors.Therefore,this paper is of great significance for improvement of the psychological health of nursing students,and provides a theoretical basis of psychological health education for nursing students,as well as intervening measures.Method: with stratified random sampling,this paper has sampled 278 students majoring in nursing at three grades in A college of traditional Chinese Medicine,whose information has been collected and sorted with questionnaire of basic information and symptom checklist,included into a database with using Excel,and made statistics and analyzed with SPSS16.0.Result: 90 out of 278 investigated nursing students were problematic in terms of psychological health,accounting for 32.37% of the total number.They got higher scores in obsession and anxiety than the average value of university students in China,while lower scores in depression,hostility and bigotry.Compared with girls,boys got higher scores in interpersonal sensitiv ity,depression,anxiety and bigotry,as well as mean score.Minority students scored higher in psychotic factors than Han students.Students from rural areas scored higher in interpersonal sensitivity,hostility,scariness and bigotry than those from urban areas.Students with a harmonious family atmosphere scored higher in mean score,mean score of positive symptoms,somatization,obsession,hostility,scariness,bigotry and psychotic factors than those with an estranged family atmosphere.Compared with only children students,non-only children students got higher score in anxiety,however only children students got higher scores in scariness and bigotry.Students hardly having physical exercises got higher scores in somatization,obsession,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety,hostility,scariness,bigotry,psychotic factors,mean score,mean score of positive symptom than those who often having physical exercises.Students not regarding nursing as an ideal major got higher scores in somatization,obsession,depression,hostility,scariness,bigotry,psychotic factors,mean score,mean score of positive symptom than those who think the opposite.Freshmen showed higher scores in obsession,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,anxiety and mean score than students of the 2nd and the 3rd year.Religion and relationship with teachers and classmates have no obvious connection with the scores of every factor.Through logistic analysis,it's found that the main influencing factors of the psychological health of nursing students includes gender,nationality,whether often having physical exercise,and whether regarding nursing as an ideal major.Conclusion: 32.37% of the investigated nursing students in A college of traditional Chinese Medicine have certain psychological problems.They got higher scores in obsession and anxiety than the average value of univer sity students in China.The main influencing factors for the psychological health of nursing students in the school includes gender,whether often having physical exercise,whether regarding nursing,and grade as an ideal major.Therefore,the psychological health of nursing students needs to be improved by means of psychological l health education and intervening measures.
