Objective Through the survey of sophomores enrolled in 2015.To understand the,Oral hygiene knowledge awareness rate,oral health behaviour and oral health status among the college students,to explore the association between oral hygiene knowledge and behavior and student oral health status.To provide theoretical basis for oral health work.Methods Reference to the"third national oral epidemiological survey report"to design their own questionnaires,A total of 2,366 valid questionnaires were conducted on the questionnaire survey of 2366 sophomores in 2015.According to the WHO"Oral Health Survey Basic Method",356 students were randomly selected for oral health check.Combined with questionnaire and oral health check data for analysis.Application of EpiData3.1 software for entry,and logical error correction,using SPSS22.0 software for statistical analysis.Through the?2 test,independent sample t test,single factor analysis and comparison between different groups of students oral health knowledge awareness rate?including caries knowledge,periodontal disease knowledge?and oral health behavior.Establish a binary logistic regression model to adjust key demographic variables?Such as gender,place of origin,self-evaluation of family economic status,only child,father's education level?,analysis of the relevance between oral hygiene knowledge,behavior and dental caries,gingivitis occurs,the variable selection criteria is P<0.05.Results1 Oral hygiene knowledge awareness rate and oral health care behavior:90.1%of students know that smoking is harmful to teeth,88%of students know that dental caries can be prevented,80.5%of students know that bleeding gums are not normal,only 41%of students know that fluoride can prevent caries and that scaling can prevent and treat bleeding gums with 25.8%,19.2%of the students know that knocking teeth does not belong to the oral bad habits.76.5%of the students choose to change their toothbrush in3 months,86.9%of the students brush their teeth more than twice a day,45.4%of students spend more than 3 minutes each time brushing teeth.95.8%of the students eat snacks,44.9%of the students have unilateral chewing habits;19%of the students have used floss,only 7.4%had pit and fissure sealant,and 6.8%on a regular oral examination.2 The awareness rate of oral hygiene knowledge among girls was higher than that of boys,the difference was statistically significant?P<0.01?.Girls brushing behavior is better than boys,and other oral health care measures boys to be higher than the proportion of girls to implement.The difference was statistically significant?P<0.01?.The proportion of the bad habit of the boys is lower than girls.Oral health behavior and oral bad habits?except for brushing time and Mouthwash after meals?,the differences between boys and girls were statistically significant?P<0.05?.Oral hygiene knowledge awareness level in Department of Pharmacy was lower than in department of nursing and department of clinical medicine?P<0.01?.the difference of Oral health behavior and oral bad habits?except for night molars?between the three groups was statistically significant?P<0.05?.However,oral health awareness rate among students from city,county and rural were close to each other,and there was no statistical difference between the three groups.Differences in dental floss use and oral examinations were statistically significant?P<0.05?.3 56.3%of the preferred treatment sites is dental hospitals,48.4%of students receiving oral treatment with cost less than 500,36.6%of students do not want to go to hospital for financial problem,45.1%of the students most willing to accept the oral knowledge from the oral professional books.4 Results of oral examination of 356 students showed:that the prevalence rate was 32%.30.8%for boys and 32.5%for girls.The prevalence of gingivitis is 29.5%,the proportion of malocclusion was 26.1%,the prevalence of boys was 35.5%,and the prevalence of girls was 23%.By Spearman correlation analysis and Logistic regression analysis,the impact of dental caries incidence on these two factors:can not prevent the method of periodontal disease,caries is one of the three major diseases that endanger mankind,whether the use of mouthwash and whether to wash teeth has effect on the prevalence of gingivitis.Conclusion There is imbalance in the oral hygiene knowledge of students in medical college.Relatively,the knowledge of boys and pharmacy students is weak.Oral dental caries prevalence rate is high,oral health care consciousness is poor,with bad oral habits,there is a lack of professional guidance,oral education courses need to be provided,to strengthen oral hygiene guidance,improve oral health knowledge and self-care level,and to promote oral health.
