Objective:This study investigates the periodontal diseases, dental caries, cheilitis andthe basic information of oral Health cognitive behaviors for the border garrison troops inPamirs to analysis the oral health cognitive behaviors among the soldiers,which gives theprovision of epidemiology evidence for the prophylaxis.Methods:Based on The ThirdNational Oral Health Investigation Criteria and oral questionnaire of the Fourth MilitaryMedical University, we designed the questionaire of this study.With methods of stratifiedand luster sampling,420male sodiers were invloved.We investigate the conditions ofperiodontitis,teeth,labial mucosa.The results of examination and survey were saved inExcel database.Data were analyzed using SPSS17.0statistical software.Chi-square testwas used for data analysis,tesed for significant.Values of P lower than0.05wereconsiderestatistieally significant.Results:1.Total420male stationed officers and soldierswere surveyed.The rates of dental caries had no statistical difference (P>0.05) in thethree groups;2.The rate of gingival bleeding,periodontal pocket existed and the rates ofCheiliti had significant difference (P<0.05) in the three groups.3.420questionnaires weregiven and418copies were valid as final statistics. As shown,most of the officers andsoldiers are short of knowledge on oral health.The officers are better than thesoldiers.Conclusion:The morbidity rate of oral and mucosa diseases are comparativelyhigh in the plateau stationing border garrison troops. The stationing garrison troops havelacks of professional oral health instruction,good oral habit,oral health care, knowledge oforal health and emphasis of oral diseases.
