The pregnancy is a modified physiological state having consequences on the oral tissues and on the periodontal tissues in particular, influencing the sleepiness and appetite of pregnant women, for the more, it influent the growth and development of fetus and the health of pregnant women. Oral health of pregnant women not only have an influence on the health of themselves, but also influent children' oral health. Prenatal education becomes the key to the dental care of the infant because mothers should serve as models for their children and interventions with children are much more likely to be successful in an environment where the mother is already a successful patient. The preventive dental program, which started in pregnant women and continued in the mothers and their children were highly effective for a long-term reduction of dental caries. The formation of behavioral and cognition to pregnant women about oral care will have a direct impact on the infection of disease. And provide Specific education for pregnant patients depends on different condition is very important. This study evaluates professional level and oral care habit and education and clinical variables (gestation period, age, income level and education). To find out how pregnant women had understood the knowledge of oral health in period of gestation, daily life and in period of infant from 3 different angles, and learn the degree that they satisfied with the oral health of themselves.1. Daily oral careObjective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the rate of daily oral hygiene knowledge in pregnant women. Methods: Inquiry the pregnant women who had received gestational education in obstetrical affiliated hospital of Zhejiang University, maternity and child hygiene hospital of gongshu hangzhou, maternity and child hygiene hospital of jianggan hangzhou from January 2005 to April 2005, to evaluate the degree that they grasped the daily oral health knowledge in gestation. Results: Five hundreds and sixty-one pregnant women accepted the investigation during the three-month in the three hospitals. The oral care knowledge of 35% pregnant women is limited. Conclusion: These findings highlight the needs for us to make efforts for improve oral care during pregnancy.2. Self-care knowledge in the oral health during pregnancyObjective: To find out how pregnant women had grasped the Self-care knowledge of oral health in gestation. Methods: Inquiry the pregnant women who had received gestational education in obstetrical affiliated hospital of Zhejiang University, maternity and child hygiene hospital of gongshu hangzhou, maternity and child hygiene hospital of jianggan hangzhou from January 2005 to April 2005, to evaluate the degree that they grasped the Self-care oral knowledge in gestation. Results: Five hundreds and sixty-one pregnant women accepted the investigation during the three-month in the three hospitals. The Self-care oral knowledge during pregnancy of 40% pregnant women is poor. Conclusion: It is suggested to supplement pregnancy guidelines by including visit to the dentist as an integral part of antenatal checkups.3.Oral health knowledge of infantObjective: To find out how pregnant women had grasped the knowledge of oral health about infant. Methods: Inquiry the pregnant women who had receivedgestational education in obstetrical affiliated hospital of Zhejiang University, maternity and child hygiene hospital of gongshu hangzhou, maternity and child hygiene hospital of jianggan hangzhou from January 2005 to April 2005, to evaluate the degree that they grasped the oral health knowledge of infant. Results: Five hundreds and sixty-one pregnant women accepted the investigation during the three-month in the three hospitals. For majority of pregnant women get no instructions during pregnancy regarding oral health, the knowledge of children' oral care of most pregnant women is poor.
